PRS RIMFIRE SERIES

The PRS Australia Rimfire Series has a flexible yet structured competition system in place for affiliated clubs. This structure allows for greater flexibility and convenience for competitors and promotes a sense of community and growth among shooters across the country.

THE PRS RIMFIRE SERIES STRUCTURE

A format that brings Australia’s top Shooters together to compete at the annual national PRS Rimfire Finale.

All PRS Australia Rimfire Series affiliated clubs will host three (3) Qualifier matches during the competition year, which must be scheduled at least one (1) month prior to the national finale.

To be eligible for a spot at the national finale, all shooters are required to be a PRS Australia Rimfire member and participate in a minimum of two (2) qualifying matches across Australia.

With each affiliated club hosting up to three (3) qualifiers, shooters who hold a PRS Rimfire Series membership have the option to compete at their local club or travel to any other club Australia wide to participate in qualifying matches. This not only allows for greater flexibility and convenience for competitors, but also helps to promote a sense of community and growth among shooters across the country.

By participating in local matches and supporting affiliated clubs, shooters can contribute to the growth and development of the sport, while also enjoying the thrill of competition and the chance to earn a spot at the national finale.

QUALIFYING MATCHES

The Qualifying matches will be hosted by your local PRS Rimfire affiliate club. Matches will be one (1) day in length, between 8 and 10 stages, with a minimum round count of 80 rounds. The match will include one timed PRS Rimfire Skills stage tie-breaker. Distances will fall between 50 and 250 metres.

NATIONAL STANDINGS

The national standings will be generated from affiliate club qualifier matches. Individual competitors with a PRS Australia Rimfire membership will have their season points listed in the standings.
